Leading Oncologists Unite on the Web to Educate about a Rare Form of Cancer

Irvine, CA., January, 29, 2008 — Incendia Health Studios announced that the CLL Perspectives website (www.CLLPerspectives.com) went live today.

Incendia Health Studios, in partnership with leading oncologists from across the country, have created the first educational tool for physicians to access the latest information about the care and treatment of people with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), which affects 15,000 Americans each year. This physician resource features the latest news and clinical information about CLL delivered by a dedicated advisory board of leading CLL experts.

The only CLL resource of its kind

CLL Perspectives was designed to bridge the informational gap between key opinion leaders in the field of CLL and practicing community oncologists. It is the only resource of its kind dedicated to CLL.

CLL Perspectives provides up-to-date clinical reviews, educational resources, CLL conference coverage, and CLL Advisor presentations using state-of-the-art podcast technology.

Topics addressed include CLL diagnosis, prognostic factors, patient management, transplantation, clinical trials, and treatment approaches including purine analogues, alkylating agents and monoclonal antibodies among others.

Advisory board members include Andrew Schorr, host of health radio talk show Patient Power, John C. Byrd, MD of the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, Michael J. Keating, MB, BS of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Thomas J. Kipps, MD, PhD of the Rebecca and John Moores UCSD Cancer Center, Susan M. O'Brien, MD of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Kanti R. Rai, MD of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

About CLL

CLL is the most common form of leukemia in the Western world with an average age of diagnosis at 55 years. It is a disorder of mature lymphocytes manifesting with progressive accumulation of lymphocytes in the blood, bone marrow and lymphatic tissues. No curative therapies are yet available, therefore the aims of CLL therapy are to prolong survival and improve quality of life. While there are a range of ongoing advances in CLL management including prognostic factors, new therapies and patient management considerations, practicing oncologists have limited access to information about these advances and the perspectives of key opinion leaders compared with other cancers.
